Blake Reiter

Blake Reiter is based in New York and has over 12 years of experience in the lodging sector, including hotel consulting as well as development on both the principal and operator sides. Mr. Reiter spent 6 years working for Ernst & Young in their Hospitality Advisory Services group. There, he focused on projects spanning all facets of the lodging industry, including feasibility, due diligence, single asset and portfolio transactions, management company selection, design and amenities, valuations, as well as extensive work structuring, evaluating, and negotiating management agreements.

Following Ernst & Young, Mr. Reiter worked for an independent real estate developer on several New York City-based ground-up hotel developments. The three hotels totaled nearly 1,000 keys with total capitalization of nearly $500 million. Mr. Reiter was involved in all aspects of the developments, including brand and management company selection, underwriting, amenity and facility offerings, management and franchise agreement negotiations, and financing.

Most recently, Mr. Reiter was Vice President of Development for TPG Hotels & Resorts, a hotel owner/third-party operator with a portfolio of approximately 60 hotels and nearly 17,000 guestrooms across the country. Mr. Reiter’s role included sourcing hotel prospects for TPG to either manage on a third-party basis or acquire for its own balance sheet or on a joint venture basis.

Mr. Reiter holds a BS from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration in Ithaca, NY.
